The Yin Yoga Therapy practice is designed to create space to just be, to rejuvenate the body, clear the mind, open up the heart, and allow energetic healing to take place. So welcome to the Yin Side, an invitation to bring healing and balance to our fast-paced life.

The quiet, mindful, and contemplative practice allows us to open our body, soul, and mind to present experiences. It interweaves the insights and practices of Yoga, Taoism, and Oriental Medicine into an integral meditative and therapeutic yoga practice. This is so much more than just stretching: let Yin Yoga be an art, a philosophy, and a way of life. Our Yin Therapy Teacher Training can be a gateway to experience a deep opening in both body and mind, to reconnect to your true self. In Yin Yoga, we take the time to listen to our body closely, explore the concepts of resistance and surrender, of hold and release. We create the space to work our way through layer upon layer of habitual holding patterns of emotional history deep inside our connective tissues. Whilst exploring our physical and our mental boundaries we connect to the transformative possibilities of being present with sensation. To stretch our limitations means to experience mindfulness principles on all levels of our being, to release physical and energetic tension, and to free stagnant or blocked energy.

Yin yoga is simple, but not easy. And sometimes being still is the toughest of all asana. The stillness of the long-held static stretches with relaxed muscles allow the space to practice mindfulness and awareness.

  • The Theory of the Taoist Elements and Chi Flow in the Body
  • Oriental Medicine Meridians & their Healing Wisdom
  • Dan Tien Breath – Theory and Practice
  • Mindfulness

Yin Yoga and the Movement-Mechanics of the Body:

  • The Theory of Exercise – Maintaining and Improving Mobility
  • Fascia and Tensegrity
  • The Piezoelectric Principle in the Poses
  • Everyone’s Unique Variation of the Structure of our Skeleton
  • Aesthetic vs. Functional Alignment
  • Compression vs. Tension

Daily Practice

  • Lead Yin and Yang classes and interactive Yin workshops with Pose and Sequence Analysis

With successful completion of the training, you will receive a Yoga Teacher Training Certificate from The Body-Mind-Soul Centre Yoga School affiliated with Yoga Alliance and a Yin Yoga Therapy Training Certificate as a component of Alexandra Denkinger M.D.(Acu) physical therapy practice, licensed and registered as Doctor of Medicine in Acupuncture M.D.(ACU) by the Indian Board of Alternative Medicine, affiliated with Yoga Alliance as a registered yoga teacher (RYT 500).
