Day 1 Jodhpur, Polo Heritage Hotel
This property is owned and operated by the scion of a former royal family who breeds Marwari horses. He and his elegant wife stay on the premises of this 35-room property with spacious lawns, large swimming pool and serve authentic Indian food with the right quantity of spices.
Here you will practice yoga and meditation in the morning. After, enjoy breakfast and then be escorted by your; local guide take a full day tour of the city visiting the Umaid Bhawan Palace, the Mandore Gardens, Jaswant Thada, the UNESCO-listed Meharangarh Fort and Museum.
Late afternoon, take a walking tour of the old bazaars of the city and then relax and enjoy an Ayurvedic massage.
In the evening, your guide and his wife, scions of former royal families, or a member of their family will host a gala dinner in your honor. Delicious bar-be-cue and unlimited drinks will be on offer. See also a folk dance and listen to soulful music during this memorable evening.
Day 2 Jodhpur, Polo Heritage Hotel
Practice yoga and meditation in the morning. Enjoy breakfast, and then drive 65-km to Osian to see beautifully sculpted Hindu and Jain temples, totaling 15. These temples were built in the 7th and 8th centuries.
Osian, with its sand dunes and tiny villages, is a wonderful place for a camel safari. Enjoy a thrilling safari before returning to the city for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 Jaisalmer, Hotel Sonar Haveli
This is a boutique property that has been constructed with intricately carved snadstone. The rooms are tastefully done using hand-block printed cotton and silk material. The owners are always available in the evenings and are gracious hosts.
After early breakfast, leave for Jaisalmer situated in the heart of India's Thar Desert. Have lunch en route, check into your hotel and then late afternoon visit the beautifully ornate sandstone havelis (merchants' mansions) located in the old parts of the city.
Day 4 Sam Dunes
On the famous Sam Dunes of the Great Thar Desert of India, you will stay in luxury tents with beautiful interiors and all amenities of a 4-star hotel. At night venture out and see millions of stars shining brightly. The food is served on lawns outside the tents. You will find the experience of staying in such a setting memorable.
Day 5 Ranakpur, Hotel Fateh Bagh Palace
A sprawling property with beautiful marble floorings, large public areas, and rooms. It has a wonderful ambiance, the food served is full of variety, and services are impeccable.
After breakfast leave on a 5-hour drive to Ranakpur, a town famous for its 15th century Jain Temple. Check into a resort, take a jeep safari through the colorful villages around and enjoy an Ayurvedic massage. Dinner and overnight are at the resort.
Day 6 Kumbhalgarh, Royal Kumbhalgarh Villas
These villas are perched on a hill and surrounded by forest. From here you can have a spectacular view of the valleys and water bodies around. It serves excellent vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals and bar-be-cues.
Here you can practice yoga and meditation in the morning. After breakfast, visit the Chumukh Jain Temple, the Suryanarayan Temple, the Golden Temple and proceed to Kumbhalgarh.
Kumbhalgarh is world famous for its imposing and impregnable fort that is now on UNESCO World Heritage Sites List. Visit this fort and the Kumbhalgarh National Park then relax and enjoy dinner at the resort.
Day 7 Udaipur, Hotel Udai Kothi
A beautiful lake-facing hotel that is superbly furnished in heritage style. An enchanting view of the setting sun can be had from here. From your room, you can see pigeons, doves, parrots and other birds in flocks flying over the lake.
After breakfast leave for Udaipur, India's romantic city of lakes. Enroute visit the beautiful temples of Eklngji and Nagda. Check into your lake-facing hotel. After lunch, take a walking tour of the pulsating bazaars of old Udaipur, Visit the Monsoon Palace located on a hill. Take dinner at the famous lake-facing Amrai restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 Udaipur, Hotel Udai Kothi
In the morning take a memorable boat ride on lovely Lake Pichola. Afterward visit the City Palace Museum to see its rich collection of armory, carpets, manuscripts, paintings, silverware, and glassware.
Take a walking tour through the colorful old bazaars of the city and visit its wonderful gardens.
Day 9 Dungarpur, Udai Bilas Palace
This lovely heritage property of a royal family has large rooms, wide corridors and provides a perfect setting for yoga and meditation. It displays a large number of heirloom armory, carpets, manuscripts, paintings, and other artifacts.
After breakfast, drive 120-km to Dungarpur situated in the foothills of the majestic Aravalli mountains. This town is famed for its natural beauty and excellent for bird watching. Check into the regal Udai Bilas Palace owned and operated by the scions of the royal family of Dungarpur.
After lunch, take a walking tour of the colorful bazaars of the town and visit the Government Archaeological Museum and Baneshwar Temple. Return to your palace hotel for bar-be-cue and dinner in its lovely environs. Overnight at the palace.
Day 10 Dungarpur, Udai Bilas Palace
Practice yoga and meditation in the morning. After breakfast, take a cruise on Gaib Sagar Lake. After that take a tour of the area visiting Juna Mahal, Shiv Temple, Badal Mahal & Rokadia Ganapati Temple. Stop now and then to see craftspersons making lac jewelers, weaving cotton durries, and handicrafts.
In the evening return to your resort for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 11 Dungarpur - Udaipur
After breakfast drive back to Udaipur to catch your flight from the airport.
